Nails Inc Lucky Dip Haul

Last week, Nails Inc had another of their now famous lucky dip sales where you get six bottles of polish for £15 plus delivery. As they usually retail for between £5 and £11, I thought this was an unmissable bargain, especially after Nails Inc promised there’d be no duplicates (I hear that was something of a problem with the last round of lucky dip bags) and bought three of them, which got me free delivery too. Yay.
My order arrived this morning and I was really pleased with my loot, lots of colours that I wouldn’t ordinarily have tried but are really quite lovely in person.
(Clicking any of the photos will take you to Flickr, where they can be embiggened)
I’m not sure whether the mustardy Hampstead Gardens is for me but the sticker on the lid assures me it’s a “trend shade” so I guess owning it means I’m down with the kids or something?
Old Park Lane is definitely my favourite out of these four, the hint of rose gold in it really warms up what could’ve otherwise been (yet another) dull metallic.
Neon orange is not a colour that immediately springs to mind, unless I’m thinking about The Boy’s time as a Dutch postman and that awful uniform, but Westbourne Grove’s an interesting addition to my collection. I think. Covent Garden’s almost-black blue would make the perfect backdrop for some galaxy nails or maybe a dash of Fantasy Fire / Unicorn Pee and someone in the packing room at Nails Inc must love me to have included that gorgeous Buckingham Street.
Whoo! More purple glitter! London Bridge is a full coverage (two / three coats depending on how cooperative it’s being) glitter in a dark bluish base, which although it isn’t very visible, I don’t think you’d want to layer this colour over something light. Belgrave Mews is a really unusual colour, sage green with a shot of copper through it; looking forward to trying it on and I’m not usually a green person.
Unfortunately due to me being an idiot, two of the polishes missed out on their photoshoot, the gorgeous metallic green of Holly Walk and the shimmery plum glitter of Belsize Avenue – I’ll make a note to give those two some love at a later date.
